Plotting is like a jigsaw puzzle, which you know if you’ve ever done it. But if you’ve never plotted before, and want to know how I do it, here’s the basics:
Step One: Figure out who your characters are and what their internal/external goal is.
Step Two: Have a basic idea of what you want the story to be. A premise or theme.
Step Three: Think of a bunch of random plot ideas that the characters can go through.
Step Four: Try to piece some (if not all) of the plot pieces together. If you did this part right, you should have a beginning, a middle, and an end planned out, with a story that makes sense.
