The Best of My Bookshelf: Books on Writing

Some excellent books here and some good advice.

Zen and the Art of Reality Bending

I have quite a library of writing books, some that I’ve only touched once, and others that I constantly reference and recommend to others. I’m going to attempt to recommend these to you based on what is most useful in them. From musings of various bestselling authors, to how to start a strong beginning, to books on how to stay out of an agent’s slush pile. I’ll list the books and rate them out of three stars. One star is for “Useful, but just okay” and three is “Highly recommended”. Let the fun begin.
